The Emaar Properties Station’s architectural design was revealed during the ceremony; a remarkable construction rising to a height of 74 meters will become the tallest metro station in the world. Its distinctive golden cylindrical form, ornamented with intricate designs, captures Dubai’s mix of modernism and cultural legacy.
Designed by the esteemed American firm Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM), which is well-known for structures like the Burj Khalifa and Chicago’s Sears Tower – Dubai as a gateway to the future, reflects in the design. Covering almost 11,000 square meters, the station will fit exactly the cityscape and offer commercial and investment opportunities together with access to transportation.
Honour Metro Legacy and Visionary Leadership of Dubai

The date of the foundation ceremony has particular significance since it marks the historic September 9, 2009 launch of Dubai Metro, famously timed to the 9th second of the 9th minute at 9 pm. Inside the Emaar Station, luxury and utility are equally stressed. Rising walls finished of natural materials like Jura limestone and bronze metal panels will welcome guests and create a warm, earthy environment reflecting Dubai’s cultural background. Designed to accommodate up to 160,000 daily passengers, the station will help the 40,000 residents of Dubai Creek Harbour as well as thousands of visitors, so supporting the growing population and tourism of the city.
Linking Key Districts of Dubai for Maximum Efficiency: Blue Line Metro

The Blue Line will expand Dubai’s metro system by 30 kilometres by including 28 trains and 14 new stations. With so many 78 stations covering 131 km, this development will greatly increase the general network capacity.

The Blue Line will have three main interchange hubs connecting in with the current Red and Green Lines in addition to raised and subterensive stations. Building and Prospects for Future
The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) awarded leading Turkish and Chinese companies Mapa, Limak, and CRRC a Dh20.5-billion contract to assist in the Blue Line building. Stretching 1,300 meters, the line will also highlight the first bridge Dubai Metro crosses over Dubai Creek.
With expected capacity of 46,000 passengers per hour in both directions, the Blue Line is poised to become a spine of the public transport network supporting Dubai’s vision of a smart, linked, and sustainable city.
